Litter

We are continually trying to keep our village clean!  Bradford Council has responsibility for clearing litter from the bypass and our village lengthsman looks after the principal streets in the village.  Our members help by patrolling village green spaces on a regular basis.  We organise community spring cleaning events each (normal) year, usually with the Scouts and we also encourage residents to litter pick when they’re out and about at any time.  We hold stocks of litter pickers, high viz vests, gloves and bags for that purpose, so please contact us at:

Sadly it’s a never ending task, but litter picking can be quite rewarding and therapeutic!  But please don’t venture on to the bypass – it can be dangerous and that’s the job of Bradford Council.
