Welcome to the Addingham Environment Group website
Regular Activities: Saturday mornings through the year: 10 am to 12 noon our friendly team of volunteers are out and about in the village or surrounding countryside, carrying out wildlife conservation work. Tasks vary depending on the season from wildflower growing and planting to meadow management, tree and hedge planting or Himalayan balsam control.
Wildlife observation transect walks include bees and butterflies (Apr—Sep), birds (monthly) and bats (Apr - Oct). Beck monitoring is carried out monthly. The children’s environment group (Saplings) get together monthly for a variety of activities.

Addingham is a West Yorkshire village of about 3,600 residents set within a predominantly agricultural landscape bounded by the River Wharfe to the north and Rombalds Moor to the south.
The Environment Group was set up by the village Civic Society in 2016. Its principal aim is to protect and enhance (in some cases restore) the natural environment of the village and surrounding countryside for the enjoyment and well-being of both residents and visitors.
